Hello!

My name is Adam Imbert, and I'm an NCSU graduate with a B.S. in Computer Science! I'm a game developer and software engineer.

I've loved video games and coding ever since the early days of doing the Hour of Code in elementary school and messing around with level design in Gamestar Mechanic. I've carried that adoration for the medium with me, and I hope to turn it into a career of making responsive, engaging experiences for others.

When my personal game projects aren't keeping me busy, I'm doing programming puzzles on Kattis or participating in game jams with the Video Game Development Club at my Alma Mater, collaborating with some of the best up-and-coming engineers I know. I'm always learning new ways to code, break my code, and un-break my code: honing my creative debugging and problem-solving skills under pressure when something goes wrong right before a deadline. I'm most comfortable programming in C#, Unity's scripting language, but I've done a great deal in Java, C, C++, and Javascript as part of my degree, and I am currently developing my Pythonic programming in the Godot game engine.

I'm a completionist at heart! I love thoroughly seeing everything a game or project has to offer and persisting through its toughest challenges; carrying that mindset with me has helped me be thorough in non-game work, as well. Making little pixel art "trophies" for games I complete has also gotten me into doing pixel art as a hobby, which helps make my 2D game jams a reality much faster.

      Let's get in touch!
